Balsamic Syrup


Description

Balsamic syrup is a delicious, sweet-tangy topping for both sweet and savory dishes. Try it with fruit, ice cream, vegetables, steak or chicken.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp honey

Instructions

  1. Cook: Combine ingredients in a small sauce pan. Bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and cook about 10-12 minutes or until thick and syrupy. Mixture will thicken more upon cooling.
  2. Serve: Warm for a few seconds in the microwave before serving, if desired. Try it with my Grilled Peaches or Strawberry Balsamic Ice Cream. Enjoy.
