Fig and Goat Cheese Crostini

Why you should try this:

These crostini are simple to make, perfect for fig season and can be switched up a number of ways!

Ingredients:

-baguette bread -fresh figs -goat cheese (or alternative) -cream (if using goat cheese) -balsamic vinegar or honey -walnuts (or alternative)

STEP ONE:

Slice baguette into 1/4 thick slices. Place on baking sheet. Brush with olive oil. Bake until golden brown and crispy.

STEP TWO:

Place walnuts on a baking sheet. Toast on 350F for 8 minutes, until golden brown and fragrant. Cool and roughly chop.

STEP THREE:

Add goat cheese and cream to a mixing bowl. Beat using stand mixer or handheld beaters on high speed for 1 minute.

STEP FOUR:

Spread 1/2 tablespoon of cheese on each piece of toast. Top with half of a fig, walnuts and honey or balsamic.
