Why you should try this:
Torta Bertolina, an Italian grape cake, is a wonderful fall dessert consisting of a vanilla scented cake studded with tangy concord grapes. It's easy to make and so tasty!
concord grapes, flour, baking powder, salt, butter, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla extract
Grease a 9 inch springform pan. Line with a round of parchment paper on the bottom. Grease again and flour.
Place flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Whisk thoroughly to combine. Coat 3/4 of grapes with 1 tablespoon of flour mixture.
Whip butter and sugar until pale and creamy, 3-5 minutes. Incorporate eggs, one at a time. Stir in vanilla extract.
Combine wet and dry ingredients. Fold in grapes coated in flour. Transfer to pan. Top with remaining grapes.
Bake in a preheated 350F oven for 45-60 minutes or until a tester inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool completely.
