Italian Knot Cookies are also known as Anginetti, Tarallucci or Easter Cookies. These cookies are served at a number of holidays, as well as, at weddings as a symbol of “tying the knot”.

Mix together flour, baking powder and salt. In another bowl, combine sugar, eggs, anise liqueur, lemon zest and butter. Combine to form dough.

Divide dough in 3. Divide 3rds into 10 pieces. Roll each piece into a rope and shape into a knot.

Bake cookies and prepare the glaze. Dunk the cookies in the glaze and top with sprinkles.
