Basic Tahini Sauce


Tahini sauce is a great accompaniment to grilled chicken, lamb and vegetable dishes, and can even be used as a salad dressing.


  • ½ cup tahini (sesame seed paste)
  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
  • 12 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • ¼ cup water or more as needed
  • 1/tsp smoked, sweet paprika and/or ground cumin
  • Kosher salt and fresh cracked pepper


  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Add additional water if needed to reach desired consistency. Try out this sauce with my Spiced Chicken Kebabs. Enjoy.
